I want to sell this chair. It is beautiful. It is identical to the one in the link I attached but without the flower at the top. Mine has a smooth top but has the crossed dolphins and lion's head armrests and claw feet. I can send pics. Please email me at [email removed]

In comparison to the chair in the October 1973 issue of Magazine Antiques, it appears to be similar to the Henkel's chair, but it seems eerily like someone at the time tried to copy the design. The carved griffin/lion arms and the crossing dolphins on the back are both present - can't be a coincidence. Must have been a Philadelphia thing at the time or could have been an early rendition of Henkels refining a design.

I agree with you Rare-definitely not Belter--also leaning toward the Philadelphia angle...Charles.
